The Richmond Farm 2 Table Program is a model for bringing local produce to urban neighborhoods. Here is how it works. Farmers and neighborhoods work together to produce and distribute boxes of fresh produce. The Richmond Community Foundation, in partnership with EcoVillage Farm Learning Center, the Brentwood Agricultural Land Trust, the Office of County Supervisor John Gioia, Contra Costa Health Services Community Wellness and Prevention Program and the City of Richmond, is establishing this program for families in urban Richmond and the surrounding neighborhoods. The program will provide boxes of fresh, seasonal, local produce twice each month. The boxes will contain recipe cards as well as a community newsletter. Boxes are delivered to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center for pick up by participants.
Corporations, local businesses and other employers can participate in this project in many ways.

Post the Richmond Farm 2 Table Program flyers in your employee break room or other prominent area and distribute the Program brochures to all employees. The cost is $50.00 per month per employee participant and will provide the employee with a produce box twice each month, and support the subsidy of one low income family. If 10 or more employees join the Program, we will deliver the boxes to your company.
Donate to support local families.
A gift of $10 per month or $120.00 per year will support one family in Richmond for an entire year. You can sponsor as many families as you would like. Every dollar goes toward purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables for local families.
