Pamela Horan joined the Richmond Community Foundation as Controller in September, 2011. Ms. Horan comes to the Foundation with over 25 years' experience in the areas of accounting, compliance and finance. Pam earned her BA from San Francisco State University and MBA in Accounting from Golden Gate University. Prior to coming to the Foundation, Pam was the Executive Director and Director of Finance for the California State Railroad Museum Foundation in Sacramento, CA. for eight years. During her tenure, she managed several large restoration projects, instituted an annual giving program and launched a successful planned giving program.

In 2000, Pam served as the Controller for St. Hope Corporation in Phoenix, AZ. Pam moved back to California when the organization moved its operations to Sacramento, CA. When the organization established four new non-profits, Pam was instrumental in creating the budgets and financial statements for each entity.

Prior work experience also included serving as the Director of Finance for Congregation Emanu-El as; Division Controller for Kroll Associates, a world-wide management consulting firm; and, Director of Finance for Neale-May & Partners, public relations firm.

Ms. Horan was the past Treasurer for the Friends of Sutter's Fort and a Director of the California League of Park Associations. Pam has quickly become engaged in the work of the Richmond Community Foundation and looks forward to networking in the broader Richmond community.
