The Richmond Community Foundation offers a variety of assistance to nonprofits through grants and other resources. We're here to support the organizations that make our community a better place to live.
In order to be eligible for an RCF grant, the organization must:
- Be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
- Provide current IRS 990 tax filings
- Provide a list of the Board of Directors
- Provide current financial statements or audit

Current Grant Opportunities
Richmond Community Foundation is pleased to announce the second round of capacity building grants for FY2011-2012. Our Spring 2012 grant-making round will provide $50,000 for a limited number of capacity-building grants up to $5,000 per organization. Grants will be made in support of the following categories:
• Mission, Vision and Strategy
• Governance and Leadership
• Strategic Relationships
• Internal Operations
The goal of our capacity-building strategy is to strengthen the nonprofit sector serving Richmond residents and to enhance the effectiveness of our community organizations.
We will be conducting a pre-application workshop on Wednesday, February 22, from 10:00am-11:30am at RCF's Community Board Room (1014 Florida Ave., Second Floor,) to review the application and respond to any questions you might have. Registration is required. Please call (510) 234-1200 to register.
